Dearest Annazalie – our ONE YEAR OLD little girl,
It happened. You turned one and exited the world of infancy with grace and personality. When we go to bed each night we think we couldn’t love you more…and then morning comes. The cycle of love/love more, love/love more, love/love more keeps spinning. It’s beautiful, really. Just beautiful. Your twelfth month included:
:: Your tender heart + stubborn streak are surfacing as we begin the long journey of discipline. When we firmly say “no” – especially your dad – your eyes turn into large saucers, your bottom lip makes its way to your chin and you just start wailing.
:: Our furniture is getting a workout as you’ve embarked on the “cruising” stage. The best part? When your nose is runny from teething and you were first learning to pull up on the couch, you would dig your face into the front of the cushions as you worked. Can we hear it for some good ole’ crusty snot trails across the front of our couches?!
:: Biting! Gracious alive, you can cause some pain with those tiny teethlets of yours. After trying a few suggested cures for stopping that cute mouth of yours from sinking into our toes/shoulders and Cletus’s tail/feet, we realized that you pretty much only resort to your Edwardian ways when your teeth are bothering you. A few teething tablets and a cold teether usually do the trick.
Oh Annazalie. We love you, we love you – we do!
This, sadly, wraps up the end of monthly updates for our girl. But wait! There’s good news! While I’ve enjoyed collecting facts and small moments on a monthly basis, I have to say I’m looking forward to blogging about all things Knutson and not being weighed down by a schedule. It’s the only place in my life where I’m interested in de-scheduling. Let’s see where it takes us!

She couldn’t be any cuter!
Cutie pie! Absolutely adorable! Just wait, now the real fun begins….
Love the pictures Christy and the story about the ‘no’ reaction
She sounds just like Tessa! We are very blessed to have daughters who do not like getting in trouble – let’s hope this continues into the future
I have enjoyed reading all of her monthly updates – it’s hard to believe she is 13 months old already! Time sure flies by and like you said, the love somehow keeps growing deeper and deeper!
